Avon Mill at golden hour — the restored mill beside the weir on the River Avon.

AVON MILL

A limited collection of 15 riverside homes, shaped by the restored mill and its surrounding grounds.

Avon Mill — mill.
01 — 1886

The Mill

Built in 1886 by Browne and Margetson, the mill has carried the valley’s working life for over a century. Bath stone walls, timber beams, a working weir below.

What once powered the wheel still sets the rhythm of the place.

02 — The Development

A limited collection

Avon Mill brings together 12 residences within the restored mill and three separate homes set within the riverside grounds. The approach is one of careful restoration: original features retained, contemporary interventions kept quiet.

Each home is finished to a restrained, durable specification — calm detailing, materials chosen to age well rather than look new.

03 — Living Here

A valley with its own time

The weir gives the place its rhythm: water moving steadily below, the valley changing through the day.

The shared terrace sits above the weir with views along one of the quieter stretches of the River Avon. Footpaths follow the Avon both ways through the wider valley, with kingfishers, otters and quiet Sunday walkers along the way.
